'Brush, Pen & Knife'

Lisa and Graham are Shropshire based artists with Studios at Maws Craft Centre, Jackfield in the historic Ironbridge Gorge who have joined together to bring a new varied and contrasting collection of their work to the beautiful Bear Steps Art Gallery in Shrewbury town centre.
I will be exhibiting at Harrogate Contemporary Art Fair from 13th to 15th of October. If you live in the area or you're visiting the Harrogate area next weekend why not why not come along and visit me on my Stand C18. I recently had the honour of presenting my artwork to the “WW1 Sikh Memorial Fund” Charity. The work will be touring the UK to help promote and raise awareness of the charity and hopefully visit the National Memorial Arboretum. A print of the work has been presented to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak by Jay Singh-Sohal founder of the Charity at a special Vaisakhi reception in Downing Street.

Every year I have created a new collection especially for this wonderful exhibition & this year I visited the poetry of AE Housman for inspiartion. I came across 'Is my Team Ploughing’ from his collection A Shropshire Lad. A young man speaks to his friend from he grave, asking for reassurance that the world is as he left it and that his friends & loved ones are content. My collection depicts my interpretation of its verses, if you look closely you will discover the young man looking on. Coalport Bridge and the beautiful Holy Trinity Church in Coalbrookdale feature amongst my images.
