'Brush, Pen & Knife'

An exhibition from Lisa Pitchford & Graham Sherman

18th February to 2nd March 2024

 

Lisa and Graham are Shropshire based artists with Studios at Maws Craft Centre, Jackfield in the historic Ironbridge Gorge who have joined together to bring a new varied and contrasting collection of their work to the beautiful Bear Steps Art Gallery in Shrewbury town centre

She has now exhibited throughout the country and currently has an artwork on a National Tour with “WW1 Sikh Memorial Fund” Charity. The drawing is touring the UK to help promote and raise awareness of the charity and the National Memorial Arboretum.  A limited-edition print of the work was recently presented to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak by Jay Singh-Sohal founder of the Charity at a special reception in Downing Street.

Lisa Pitchford

Lisa is a realism-based artist who produces wall art using a mixture of pencil, fine pen and watercolour, her themes are wide ranging and have covered areas such as dance, music, and wildlife.
A self-taught artist, having enjoyed drawing in her teens she opted to follow a different career path and it wasn't until 2020 that she rediscovered her love of art.

Graham Sherman

Graham Sherman

Graham is a contemporary landscape artist whose inspiration for his painting comes from observing the light and colours of the Shropshire landscape and the changing seasons. 

He mainly works in acrylics on board and canvas applying the paint thickly using a palette knife with additional materials to add more texture, giving an extra dimension to his work.

He has exhibited his work throughout Shropshire, Wales and the Midlands.
